Methodology

CURRENT METHODOLOGY

  • Conventionally, in an electric/hybrid vehicle system, an energy storage device is used to transmit power to a motor that drives the vehicle.
  • Power is drawn from an energy storage device to run electrical components of the vehicle.

Limitations of Current methodology

  • The storage device requires frequent recharging.
  • Charging time of storage device is more.
  • Huge electrical consumption for charging batteries thus load on grid.
  • Frequent charging & discharging reduces life span of the energy storage device.
  • Dearth of charging points/outlets.
