CURRENT METHODOLOGY
- Conventionally, in an electric/hybrid vehicle system, an energy storage device is used to transmit power to a motor that drives the vehicle.
- Power is drawn from an energy storage device to run electrical components of the vehicle.
Limitations of Current methodology
- The storage device requires frequent recharging.
- Charging time of storage device is more.
- Huge electrical consumption for charging batteries thus load on grid.
- Frequent charging & discharging reduces life span of the energy storage device.
- Dearth of charging points/outlets.
