POWER FROM WIND TURBINE
- This mechanism relates to a method for generating electricity using high wind pressure generated by fast moving vehicles channelling the induced wind in the direction of the wind turbine.
- Small wind turbines can be fitted within the vehicle to generate power for lights & small equipments. Relatively large turbine can be installed on rooftop of vehicle only where wind speeds are high & would be utilized when vehicle is stationary to avoid drag.
- Small wind turbines can be fitted within the vehicle to capture the wind for its Compressed-air energy storage (CAES) is a way to store energy generated at one time for use at another time using compressed air. At utility scale, energy generated during periods of low energy demand (off-peak) can be released to meet higher-demand (peak load)
- The kinetic energy of the wind movement thus created can be used to generate electricity. Vehicles, while in motion encounter wind in a faster manner. A wind turbine & vents placed in front & at the sides of the vehicles gives maximum efficiency & will generate adequate amount of energy. The air flow will cause turbine to rotate & thus electricity can be produced. The fitment of the turbines would be decided basis on the wind profile of the geography.
